The long awaited new album,
Common Existence, from New Jersey's own
Thursday is finally here! With many years in the making, due to singer Geoff Rickly having writer's block, the album will definitely not disappoint any fans. It has the essence of
War All The Time and a little bit of
A City By The Light Divided. The song "Last Call" screams out to you, while "Friends In The Armed Forces" could be the anthem of the album. Tom Keeley and Steve Pedulla's guitar parts are edgy, while Tim Payne's bass playing and Tucker Rule's drumming are solid. While we know Geoff's lyrics are passionate, he expresses his most poetic words on this album to make it come full circle.
With 11 years under their belt, Thursday has definitely come a long way. Common Existence is their most creative and experimental album yet. The song "Time's Arrow" doesn't reflect a typical Thursday's song due to the acoustic guitars, but nonetheless, the song remains powerful and captures the serenity of art. The new album drops Feb. 17th through
Epitaph, which is a debut for Thursday. They will be kicking off the
Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour on Feb. 14th at the Palladium in Los Angeles, so check them out especially if you want to have a rockin' Valentine's. Also check out this rad live video of their new single. Much to look forward to!

This is probably the best Split EP I've ever heard, but that's easy when you take songs from one of my high school favorites,
Thursday, and make a crazy power combo with brain blowing tracks from the veteran Japanese hardcore 5-piece
Envy. I'm very impressed by Envy and I know all you fans out there shoot kick me in the face for not really knowing too much about them. They are thoroughly dope and I am allowing them to eat my ear drums quickly. There's a ton of hollerin' about getting the full package of this
Split which includes a 180-gram Vinyl, CD and Silk-screen artwork all limited to a 1000 copies. That is
limited! Pre-order it
now! In the meantime I am going to give you a song from each band from the
Split as well as an older bonus track from each artist! Thug Life!
