We are ultra excited to give you guys some new music from
Soil & "Pimp" Sessions, an amazing loud and chaotic, alt jazz group from Japan. These guys originated playing live sets in between DJ sets in Tokyo clubs, eventually they dropped the DJ sets and would quickly become one of the most energetic and jazz heavy groups out there. They were invited into the UK and Euro scene by Gilles Peterson and currently have shop set up at his Brownswood Recording label. Their new album just dropped today in the US. Get the new
Planet Pimp album now! All of their releases have the word "Pimp" in them, and I'd say they've got that down with their jazz madness. Here's a track to get you going and the video for
Crush.

I am learning more about certain older school Soviet Russians and their
love & more than likely obsession for space and future. Russian Futurism comes to play and I think
Kim & Buran pull it off well with their names following heroes in a soviet Sci-fi cartoon. Their music is fully engulfed in a classy electronic lounge sound with very dream,y big band synthetics. These guys have been quiet lately as their latest album dropped over 2 years ago. Hopefully they are in their laboratories creating some new stuff for a forthcoming. As I'm listening to the album I am constantly reminded of how much their sound can range. Sometimes you get the accuracy of down tempo to an often hip spy scene gig. I got some songs for you off their latest album
Rock'n' Robot.
