A couple months back, the salsa heavy, latin soul shop Fania Records, released their first (certainly not last) remix collection called I LIKE IT LIKE THAT. Some dope DJs and producers including Louie Vegas and Aaron Jerome have remixed Fania heads like Pete Rodriguez and Héctor Lavoe to a new beat! Check out this track and go pick up the albummmm.

I have no idea where I heard this band but their myspace was on my favorites! Maneja Beto is an amazing 5 pieces Latin Indie rock back from Austin, Texas. Latin Indie? or as they say "Indie en Espanol"...I say they are amazing because their music is beautiful with Bobby Garza and Alex Chavez's voices harmonizing over intricately placed percussions. Let's not forget the huapanguera and jarana last seen with your local Mariachis (seriously). These guys mix lots of Latin influences and sometimes even the Flamenco with that quick pace supported by guitars, shakers and keyboards!
