Un Dia, I Will Understand Juana Molina

Friday, October 03, 2008

I don't know much about the history (or sound) of Argentinian music...that said I'm sure some of you want to put the justice to my ears. Juana Molina is rolling out her entirely home recorded 5th album, Un Dia, and honestly it's totally nuts. Now traditionally she sounds like a soft vocalist very near and dear to the Bossa Nova style. No I don't think it all sounds the same, I'm just saying it's similar (and the countries touch eachother). She sings beautifully on her previous albums. Un Dia is still her, but a new-er breed, just look at that picture, it's creepishly jawesome. You can get this new album next week! Give it a few listens, it'll be different everytime!
