Nana NANA nana NANA hey GOODBYE!!

Tuesday, June 17, 2008

I was going to start with 39 reasons why the Celtics won but Ray Allen would make up 21 of those reasons. But I said it again and again, game 5 should have been it because it wasn't the Lakers dominating as much as it was a few last minute mistakes. I am glad though they won on home court, it just makes it so much better! I thought Paul Pierce definitely deserved his trophy dophy and I liked what he said towards the end about not having many good years but the Boston fans stuck it out with him. That was key. Ray Allen, one of my favs in highschool just lit it up tonight. All around amazing game, the nervousness left when I was eating sushi and checkin' the scores on my phone and saw that the BC's were up 20+. Okay okay I can go on and on but we'll let the highlight reeels tell the story. Check here and here.

Feeling Blue and Loving It

Sunday, December 30, 2007

Contributed by TheVillageIdiot

Wow.

They did it. The Giants really just won the Super Bowl.

If you could only be in the city right now. The energy outside is incredible. With the balmy high 40 temperatures outside, even Mother Nature seems to be smiling on New York City right now. Certainly nothing short of Godzilla climbing the Empire State Building could dampen the enthusiasm in the streets. Even then, there would be people outside celebrating. There are people on every corner, in various states of inebriation, just having a great time. Each honk, whether intentional or unintentional, is greeted by a giant roar and chants of "YEAHHHH!", "Go Big Blue!" or, the always popular, "Giants! Giants! Giants!" And why not? The Giants did the impossible. They took down Tom Brady and the Patriots.

This was a game for the ages. Who knew that Eli Manning had it in him? It's funny. If you read the articles up until now and listened to the sports pundits, Eli was a giant question mark (no pun intended). No one was sure if he had the killer instinct or the leadership skills to lead the Giants to victory. Whether or not he can continue is anybody's guess, but for tonight, the answer to that question has to be yes. That last drive was nothing short of amazing.

Tonight was fitting. Up yours Boston. Yeah, the Yankees suck and the Knicks suck worse, but for tonight and the next year, this is a giant middle finger to you. We won.

In the News and Malajube, Eleni, Prefuse 73, New Koop!

Monday, January 15, 2007

On Saturday I worked with Panache. I got to drive the van again! Mia and I drove it for a Bat Mitzvah, it was the longest one I've ever worked. We were there from 7am at the shop and back at the shop at 6:30pm. Whoaaaaaaaat! After seeing the dance themed party, I think I want one now too!
My latest tank on my TDI was 583 miles. I think that is around 40mpg. Not Bad!
I realized I hate a lot of things, one of them this week is TIME WARNER cable. Shun the monopoly. SSSHHH SHHHUUUNnnnnuh. Oh and here is a super funny video, still watch it every once in a while.

How many more people are they going to hang? I mean really the electric chair is no cakewalk but this whole hanging thing is just...yea. Saddam Hussein's half brother was hanged yesterday. When the trap door was released, the gavitational pull on his body caused his head to snap off his spine. Strange that most news sites talked about that part more than what he did.

There is this man named George Hood who recently broke a record for riding on a stationary bike for a near 85 hours. Now I know that is physically amazing, or is it? What would be the actual challenge to many athletes? Okay it is probably hard, really hard, but seriously what is to be proved by riding on a stationary bike? I think it's pretty strange useage of time, know what I mean?

Down at the exec labs: The producers of ABC's LOST are finally plotting the end of the show. Jack and his friends gotta get rescued right? If not how long can they drag it on? Good show now but the execs made the right choice. Play it safe. Sell syndication everywhere, make a crap load on iTunes and DVD sales and get ready for the next good show!

There are many sucky ways to die, one of them is definitely freezing rain showers. Sleet and rain crushing down on the pavement is no fun road to death. Record lows in California and storms running amok, end times? lack of global warming? Actually probably nothing from the ordinary, it's the winter time. Midwesters, stay warm and stay off the roads. In the meantime the ARMY really needs to send some serious emergency forces in those states. Thank God we are in California, however it is no reason to just "be fortunate" know what I mean?

Beckham is gonna be on the LA Galaxy, I don't think he will popularize MLS or soccer in the U.S.; First off we have football, and the superbowl is coming up and then the NBA playoffs not to mention March Madness. Second of all Coach Fabio of Real Madrid has it tough, and I don't blame him. Beckham, hate to say it, is going after the fame and fortune. I'd say man is always driven by something, and a lot of times it is money. I think he sold out!!! He left the "Real" arena of futbol, left Europe, and all of his fans just for a bunch of endorsements. BOO! I already don't care much for the Galaxy, much less news reporting about a new player. (and yet I opinion blast my thoughts on it)
Okay here are some new songs to feed your iPods or whatever.
