The Thermals evolve one more step with their newest album Now We Can See. Mellowing out riff by riff since their debut More Parts Per Million, the poppy garage punk of The Thermals (now with Kill Rock Stars) has leaned towards a happy garage feeling, less gritty than albums before. Songs like "Now We Can See" show some sort of maturity in the band's aging, at least lyrically, along with a good amount of the necessary sing-alongy-refrain.
