Think of it as a National Geographic documentary on sound that takes you from the Andes of Peru to the streets of Mexico City to the East Side of L.A.—cumbias, low-rider music, tropicalia, funky jazz oddities, y más. Listen as the crew plays their heritage on turntables. Also performing: Domingo Siete. This pan-Latin-and-Caribbean quartet, which plays at home in L.A. when not touring Europe, scored the Oscar-nominated documentary The Garden."
