Let's agree that the indie industry that was once a small little lonely Hershey Kiss size world; melting in the sun would catch no one's attention. It's incredible how in the past 5 years that has completely changed....more over, it continues to change. Is it the not-so musically diverse world of radio? Is it the lack of creativity or the mundane-ness of the same sound of crappiness on the Top 40 charts? (Oh no he didn't!) Yes I did; I think one of the reasons why 1000s of these music blogs even exist and are successful in hits shows their necessity to meet demand for something 'different'. Of all honesty, when we get right down to it, these bands owe a lot of it to the internet. Yes these guys have incredible talents and make happy fun but just like the radio dominated days, talent doesn't necessarily mean anything. Without the powers of social networking...who knows where we'd be.
