Garage-pop, garage-rock, whatever, there is something about that garage rock sound, the drone of heavy electric guitar, a really catchy (I know people hate the use of the word "catchy") bass line, and just ruggedness that I really enjoy.

Anyway Sam Champion is one of these bands that has appeared and has now recently reappeared that capture some of these elements, though a little cleaner in sound compared to The Strokes counterparts. Their new album Heavenly Bender comes out September 2, 2008 and here's a little taste to come.

Right smack in the middle of the track is a nimble little guitar solo to listen to (yes, i said nimble).
