Radiate Us With Neighborhood Suicide

Wednesday, May 28, 2008

Chicago's killin'em these days. I guess it's been big, but until a couple years ago did I recognize. Radius has just dropped Neighborhood Suicide, an amazing instrumental hip hop journey that flexes his sampling guru-itics as a producer from Chi-city! The new album is a reflection of the city, particularly certain neighborhoods mixed with Radius' personal emotions. The making of this album is heavy stuff. Luckily for us we on the other side with our ears wide open. Expect some breaky-ish, some experimental, lots of MPC classic history! More music here.

Englewood (Necessary Growth)
Logan Square (Rent's Due)

Get the album via The Secret Life of Sound (the folks that brought you the Invisible Superstars album, oh yea, that's the stuff)
