It's GOOD FRIDAY's Fresh Music!

Friday, March 21, 2008

It's Good Friday and we gotta good mix for anyone lookin' for some new stuff to listen to. Could be you? After listening to what we wanted to share, we realized there's lotsa dancey! Before we get into that, let's talk some news. I don't love Pelosi but this is a very interesting speech she gave when meeting with the Dalai Lama. More about that here. France's Sarkozy is beefin' up the nukes. There's so much going on, get to reading! Let's get to music.

First up we have a remix of a track from Ready Fire Aim's new album This Changes Nothing droppin' late May. It's a first time collabroation between DJ/Producer Stakka and poet Sage Rader.
Ready Fire Aim - So Fine (Plus Move Remix)

M. Ward and Zooey Deschanel are She & Him and I totally dig their debut album Volume One. It's beautiful, often soft and totalyl lovely stuff.
She & Him - Sentimental Heart

UK's The Kills gotsa new album available everywhere! Get Midnight Boom here! It's awesome electronics and distorted indie sonic goodness.
The Kills - Cheap & Cheerful

Death Cab For Cutie's got Narrow Stairs to step to until it's release in May. Check out DC4C's new single!
Death Cab For Cutie - I Will Possess Your Heart

I'm way excited for Be Your Own Pet's sophomore release Get Awkward that just dropped her ein the US 3 days ago. Jemina Pearl's energetic vocals with this crazy punky fast rock about food fights, heart throbs and black holes?! This track describes a party at a graveyard with Zombies!
Be Your Own Pet - Zombie Graveyard Party

New York indie rockers Bridges & Powerlines are releasing their debut Ghost Types on April 22nd! Get another track of their EP here. Some catchies, some synthies!
Bridges & Powerlines - Uncalibrated

Manchester's Elbow has been around since the late 90s and they got a new album dropping also in April called The Seldom Seen Kid. Apropos, mad props to UK's Creative Corporation for their creative work on the Elbow's website. Go check it!
Elbow - An Audience With The Pope

That's it for us, hope you enjoy those 7 rad tracks!
Happy Good Friday and have a swell weekend!
