Friday, March 28, 2008

What's up everybody, happy Friday! That burrito above is the breakfast burrito at Greorge's Hamburgers in Fullerton, CA and it is by far my most fav b-fast burrito. It's a doozy so bring a friend! It's Fresh Music Friday. Here's some stuff to hold you for the weekend...

First up we got the soulful funk sounds of Bing Ji Ling who has a new EP out called June Degrees In December. Check out this feel good jam!
Kathalina

Singer-songwriter Sera Cahoone has been onto something I am really diggin' these days; Country indie music. It's a great way to get this folk and Country together, and draw a new audience. Her new album, Only As The Day Is Long, is soft with beautiful countr-eqsue instrumentation.
Happy When I'm Gone

The Annuals have a new Split EP with Sunfold called Wet Zoo. We'ev got an awesome track off that EP for you! On Monday the whole thing will be streaming from here. Look out for a full-length in the Fall
Sore

The loud poppy clappin' Boo & Boo Too have a new self titled EP out full of fast indie rockin' madness! Get that EP here.
Couch On Fire

Weird Science AKA Steve Aoki has a super dancey remix of Metro Station's Control.
Control (Weird Science Remix)

Bologna Italy's Tiger Tiger! has a new album out via My Honey Recs called 11pm. It's filled with indie-pop tunes with very light folk acoustics.
Autumn

Chi-town's duo Flosstradamus remixes Heartsrevolution's CYOA (Choose Your Own Adventure) as they're droppin' a new one very soon! Dance hard.

Check this CNN news Article about CNN defending their coverage of the Tibet China Clash. Come on Bloggers, y'all know the news is controlled by someone somewhere, if you don't like the way they write, move on! Let's focus on the issue, and not fight useless fights. Like I've always said, blogging is ultra powerful. What's going on in your neck of the woods?

People resort to complaining on personal blogs because of a need for change. If news media did what they are supposed to do-- expose truth, then there wouldn't be a need to defend their stances. However, because this is not the case (as news is controlled), it is only natural that the disgruntled public take action. In reference to your comment about focusing on the issue, I do agree. Yet, I also believe that the public outcry for accurate data reporting is necessary in bringing about more focus on objective news coverage. Therefore, no time is wasted on defending sides, and the issues that matter can be addressed accordingly.
