Austin's Tim Hussman and Bryan Ellis have creatively combined synth pops with layers of recorded guitars, drums, keyboards and Postal Service-like vocals. They put some awesome electronic videogame samples without that remixed videogame track on crack sound. Together they are Aster which is named after an imaging instrument on the Terra satellite that orbits our earth. Interesting. But I think their sound is highly appropriate for such a name.
