Wednesday: Some New Music!

Wednesday, January 09, 2008

Hey Guys! We got some new music for you. We haven't done this in a while so we hope you can find something you like. Also we've received lots of e-mails about partnering and collaborating with BBQ...we are definitely open to it so if there are others out there, drop a line.

To start us off we got that new track from Hello, Blue Roses off of their soon to be released upcoming album "The Portrait Is Finished And I Have Failed To Capture Your Beauty..." Look out for it on Jan. 22nd from Locust Music.
Hello, Blue Roses - Sunny Skies

This is another one from the guy who brought you the mash between Jay-z, Beyonce, and T.I.
Cousin Cole - Let Me Clear My Throat

More of that crazy fast Electro post-punk dancey stuff from Cincinnati's Eat Sugar. They'll be releasing a debut self-titled EP very soon!
Eat Sugar - Black Eye

We've got two remixes from Caroline's new Murmurs Mixes which is a revisit remix of her '06 ambiminimalist release Murmurs featuring Lullatone, Brightest Feathers and many others.
Sunrise (Sunset Mix)
All I need (Owen Vallis Mix)

San Fran based duo The Dodos recently signed with NY's Frenchkiss, and they'll be kicking off a tour at the end of the month in support of their full length debut "Visiter"...that album drops in March but we got one of the tracks for you right here.
The Dodos - Fools

I love Sunny Day Sets Fire's experimental poppy psych sound which reminds me of a neo-Beach Boys! They've got a special remix EP coming out with contributions from such artists as CSS and The Cool Kids. Check out this song from their forthcoming full-length!
Sunny Day Sets Fire - Stranger

More Eastcoasters, Saint Bernadette's distinctive sound in "In The Ballroom" was actually recorded in the Bijou Theatre, a historic 1908 ballroom in Bridgeport, CT. Amzing mixing combined with beautiful melancholy vocals and songwriting is well packed into this last October release.
Saint Bernadette - Sidestep

This isn't necessarily a new released, but it's the 2007 released "Ink" full length from The Dining Rooms. Italians Stefano Ghittoni and Cesare Malfatti, create sophisticated cinematic jazz to groovy instrumental bossa. I love that keyboard right at the beginning...really sets the song.
The Dining Rooms - Appuntamento A Trieste

A great track from Oakland's HIJK combines some great pop with dancey keyboards and art rock all the way! I like the way they use their vocals, bouncing off eachother and sometimes echoey.
HIJK - Alibi

Okay folks, that's Wednesday for you!
