If you are a sucker, like me, for romantic comedies, you're bound to be a sucker (in a good way) for the soundtrack to Peter Hedges' Dan In Real Life. Starring some well-known faces such as Steve Carell (The Office, Evan Almighty, 40 Year Old Virgin), Dane Cook (yes, yes, we know his crazy comedic ass) and gorgeous French beauty, Juliette Binoche (Chocolat).The array of feelings this sountrack evokes ranges from "cozy by the fireplace" to melancholy to "driving with the windows down" feel to "love sucks" to "aww, adorable!" and I can even see some males agreeing to that one, so don't brush that off so quickly. The sountrack is mainly comprised of Norwegian Sondre Lerche's songs, he is also joined by Regina Spektor and The Faces Down Quartet on a couple of the tracks, The movie is slowly scooting out of the major movie theatres so hurry and catch this hilarious, quite realistically sentimental and at times cutely idealistic little film.
