Music For Your Carefree Afternoons

Thursday, October 25, 2007

I feel like when we hit the 10's it's like a mini birthday thing. We recently hit 50,000 hits and we've only just begun. Aniticpate the bbq to come! It's almost the weekend! We've got some awesome tunes for you from The NEVER. I saw that they were opening for the co-headlined tour of The Annuals and The Manchester Orchestra. The North Carolina natives will be supporting their latest album Antarctica off Trekky Records which comes with a 50-page full color storybook by Noah, the dude who got the band together towards the end of high school through a crazy project shanninigan including props, costumes, and 100 TV dinners. What in the world?! Good stuff.

Antarctica has an awesome hint of electronic synthy stuff on several tracks, not to mention violins over drums beats and other beautiful instrumentals. Look see if they're touring near you. We've got some of the songs below, you can stream the entire album here, and more here.
