The Darjeeling Experience

Monday, October 22, 2007

Brightly colored escapades, streams of sadness, embraces of awkwardness, an unpredictable train trip with three brothers learning to deal with their father's death, their mother's constant absence, relationship emptiness and traveling together on train that eventually leaves them in the middle of nowhere face to face with the reality of their situation.

After finally seeing Wes Anderson's new film last night, Darjeeling Ltd., I was left with a lot to be pensive about-mostly thinking, "I want this soundtrack!", and I am impatiently excited to expose y'all to some yummy soundtrack magic. Enjoy.

Peter Sarstedt-Where Do You Go To (My Lovely)
The Kinks- This Time Tomorrow
The Rolling Stones- Play With Fire

P.S. If you are about to go see this film, I recommend to go watch the first part, Hotel Chavalier, a 12 minute short film. Find it here.
