New Music, finally right?!!

Sunday, October 29, 2006

Picture Above: My Danish roommate Lasse, me, and Will did it again finally got the chance to order from "The Original" Thai BBQ on La Palma in Anaheim. Although the delivery took a while (and we are only 4 miles out), it still filled us up. We ate together outside (or inside?) our enclosed patio. I will post more pictures of it later. It is our little nook for studying and hanging out. We are really proud and excited about it.
I haven't had any time at all. I am going to be starting to work for HP soon for their digital lifestyle promotions. I am still doing stuff part time for Apple on campus. I am tutoring 3 students for a tutoring company. I am doing some stuff for Fox and ABC, rarely. And Panache!
That is why I don't have much time to update this. Does anyone want to help me post new music every few days? or atleast two or 3 times a week? Let me know!!
This is an awesome mix of songs, if you like any of the songs comment now! 22 Songs should hold you over the next few days!

Basically I love this song, it's rather sad, but the sound brings me up.
Libbie Linton - What's Left

I went to Turkey for a mission trip a few summers ago. This song basically sums up my experience at one of the famous Turkish Bathhouses in Istanbul. (you figure it out)
A Hawk and Handsaw - God Bless the Ottoman Empire

This is a fun band I heard a while back, I like to bring things up. (think pop) but the best part, they are from Indonesia. (doesn't get more indie than that)...? i think.
Annemarie - The Living Model

I simply just dig their sound.
Beirut - Bratislava

The vocals are just tight yo.
Cold War Kids - Heavy Boots

New Cut ish.
Cut Chemist - The Garden and Storm (ft. Edan & Mr. Lif)

My Danish Roommate Lasse brought this guy to my attention, he records with and on Jack Johnson's label. It's got style, and it's good at any time.
Donavon Frankenreiter - Move by yourself and Let It Go

Sounds like a lot of good bands who have a sound that sounds like a lot of good bands
The Editors - Munich

I like this guys voice, I like the way this song makes me feel, and the name of the song.
Guillemots - Trains to Brazil

This is a crazy Turkish pop song. It's like young Shakira in Turkey. I don't know any words, but music is a universal language...aint it?
Nil Karaibrahimgil - Butun Kizlar Toplandik

Just sweet emo-ness + drum machine. Yea, did I say emo? yea. yea. or indie. (right)
Peace in Our time - Everyone or Anyone

This is some ATL ish, underground. I think, I like. Hiphop = rapping about something.
Psyche Origami - Wherever You Are

You all know her, me too.
Regina Spektor - Samson

I love female vocals, this is one of their more acoustic like songs.
Solitude & Company - Isolation

This song sounds like something from the 90s with a hipness.
Starflower - Dance 'Til Morning Light

This is just a chill song, I like the catchy organ
Stars in Coma - Life Without the Community

I don't understand what he is talking about, can someone explain. This song indie pop rocks
The Thermals - How We Know

Dude I love this song. It's fast and rad and has that catchy keyboard crap!
Tokyo Police Club - Box

Heavy on the instruments
Russian Circles - Death Rides A Horse

Aussi ish, fun poppy!
The Zebras - You Look Ready

Happy listening and have a great week!
